I earned a Bachelors of Liberal Arts with a concentration in Fiction and Literature from New College of Florida. This non-traditional and initiative-oriented education taught me, more than anything else, how to learn. Though I continue to write fiction, I have since studied Ocean Ecology and spent almost 10 years working in marine conservation through various grassroots and non-profit organizations in the Caribbean.

I was first introduced to the power of programming in these years of advocating for marine ecosystems. It became evident that tech provides a powerful way to introduce people to the wonders of the underwater world, communicate the threats that human impact impose on it, and create opportunities for people to support ocean ecosystems. My passion and independent study were awarded with a highly competitive fellowship at the Fullstack Academy, where I honed these powerful tools.

I am enchanted by the power and potential of the digital. As a writer, I am fascinated by language and the way software engineering empowers me to express ideas in colorful, dynamic, and layered experiences. I strive to use my skills to better people's lives and promote progress in the way we treat each other and the world around us.
